Chocolates

Every year for as long as I can remember my mother has made chocolates.  Over the years, it has expanded to include friends and neighbors and during the first weekend of December we all get together to chop, dip, stir and wrap hundreds of chocolates.  It all starts with over a hundred pounds of chocolate:

We use tempering machines to keep the chocolate at a consistent temperature:


When the chocolates are done, they are brought into the living room where they counted and put into batches:



After two full days of chocolate chocolate chocolate the end product is over 15 varieties of yummy truffles, nut clusters, cherries and carmels.  A wonderful gift for friends, neighbors and colleagues right in time for Christmas.
